To transfer an IRI software license, you will need to:
- have a valid support entitlement in place (paid-up annual maintenance) with IRI
- email or fax us a completed and signed License Transfer Request (LTR) form
- email us a new RegForm.txt file from the target machine (see below for steps) to obtain temporary keys
- provide a purchase order (or pre-payment if applicable) for any quoted administrative transfer, major new version upgrade, or hardware "license lift" fee(s)
- email or fax a completed and signed License Removal Certification (LRC) form along with the same target RegForm.txt file again to obtain permanent keys
To obtain license keys for the target machine on:
IRI CoSort (Voracity) for Unix / Linux
- copy or install a compatible $COSORT_HOME directory structure onto the target system
- enter $COSORT_HOME/etc/cs_setup (or etc/setup for CoSort versions 8.2 or earlier)
- select 'First Time Setup' from the program menu
- complete the registration form (all fields please)
- save and email the auto-created "RegForm.txt" file to licenses@iri.com
IRI CoSort (Voracity) for Windows
- install the CoSort command-line interface (CLI) or "full" package onto the target system
- run CoSort setup from the start menu; e.g., Start, All Programs, CoSort, CoSort 9.x, Setup
- select 'First Time Setup' from the program menu
- complete the registration form (all fields please)
- save and email the auto-created "RegForm.txt" file to licenses@iri.com
IRI FieldShield / DarkShield / NextForm / RowGen
- copy or install the binary compatible directory structure onto the target host
- set the $prodname_HOME (or %prodname_HOME% on Windows) EV and /bin path on the target
- run the setup program from the etc folder on Unix or the Windows start menu for your IRI product
- select 'First Time Setup' from the program menu
- complete the registration form (all fields please)
- save and email the auto-created "RegForm.txt" file to licenses@iri.com
IRI FACT (Fast Extract)
- copy from a compatible $FACT_HOME structure or extract the original FACT archive on the new host
- set an environment variable for FACT_HOME, and set it to the FACT root directory created above
- from $FACT_HOME, enter: fact --trylicense and follow prompts to complete the new registration form
- email the file RegForm.txt to fact@iri.com to get the new license key
- type fact --setlicense and enter the license key provided
- type fact -v to verify that you have a valid license and follow the remaining configuration steps in the FACT manual for your (new) version
You are free to copy and use the IRI Workbench client GUI for all the above software; it needs no keys. Contact us if you have any questions or need help.
